Q) Everyone has that “Aha!” moment in their life when they figure out what they really wanted to do as a career. What was the first sign that you were meant for the events and meeting industry?
A) Even though my current position at RVE is not event related, I knew a couple of years back that I wanted to be in this industry. I had the opportunity to plan a movie screening event with a surprise celebrity appearance and enjoyed the process so much.

Q) How did you learn about Red Velvet Events?
A) When I was new to Austin, I decided to attend my very first ILEA happy hour. I actually met Sarah Lo there and she told me all about Red Velvet Events. I guess networking really does work. 🙂

Q) RVE’s love for Austin is well known. What’s your very favorite thing about Austin?
A) It’s a big city with a small town vibe and there is always something to do here. It’s hard to be bored.

Q) Nothing’s perfect – not even our beloved city. If money and time were no object, what’s the one thing you would change about Austin?
A) Besides traffic, I would move it closer to the beach.

Q) Everyone says they’re detailed-oriented. But what secret trait about you really demonstrates your commitment to order and details?
A) My sister’s and I joke that we got these “detail-oriented” qualities from my mom, but groceries have to be placed on the conveyor belt with heavy items first (ex. cans, boxes) and then more delicate items are placed at the end (ex. eggs, bread). Also, there is a certain order that I like to clean my house to ensure everything gets cleaned properly.
