A Day in the Life of an RVEer

April 1, 2017 Austin, Red Velvet Events

We’ve been recruiting a lot lately, and one of the most common questions we get is what a normal day at RVE looks like. So, we thought it’d be helpful for those hoping to join our team to understand just what a day in the life of an RVEer is.

Let’s start by explaining our anniversary and incentives system. The first week of employment, a new RVEer must be in the office at 8 a.m. That time increases in 15 minute increments until the RVEer has a month under his or her belt, at which point the day begins promptly at 9 a.m. After one year at RVE, though, staff can come in at 10 a.m. and they also receive a red diamond anniversary gift. At 5 years, an RVEer gets a red luxury car. Yes, you read that right! The red car looks fantastic with our custom company-initial license plates.

Our day-to-day is pretty relaxed. We keep Veuve Cliquot on tap, as we’ve found it helps boost our productivity and maintain efficiency throughout the day. No one here bothers with a sack lunch, either—our lunches are always hosted. Plus, every day we get Tiff’s Treats or cupcakes delivered from someone who is thanking us for our business! Even with those perks, our weeks can become stressful, so we have a massage therapist come in once a week to work out those knots.

We can’t always be on our computers, so we each received a red iPhone upon joining RVE to keep up with email, which we use a lot during the planning process. It’s our main platform. We are busy and in excel every day, but who needs to worry about Excel when you have unlimited client budgets, right?

Now that you’ve gotten insight into our daily lives, maybe you’ll want to join us! Check out our open employment opportunities and drop us a line.
