Hello, New Year
The start of a new year means new goals, new experiences, and new memories. Often forgotten about, though, is a time of reflection on the ending year. 2016 brought us so many good things. It was challenging and tough, but it was a great and busy year!
By the end of 2016, Red Velvet Events had 24 full-time employees—and we’re still hiring. We grew our team because our year was packed full of exciting meetings and events (137 of them to be exact) that tested our logistics skills and creativity. And we rose to each and every challenge! We’ve been fortunate enough to work on all different kinds of events this year. Some broke internal attendance records, some inspired us for future programs, and still others were new and unique to Austin and to anything we’d done. We tried to find our limits as a company in 2016, but they were nowhere to be found. Looks like the search continues in 2017!
The end of a year also brings about questions such as, ͞What didn’t we do?͟ and ͞What can we improve upon?͟ While we finish answering those questions ourselves, we’re going to continue to never stop learning. RVE will move forward into 2017 equipped with experience and inspiration from our past year, as well as our past 14 years. We’re going to continue to always try and exceed our clients’ expectations. And we will goal ourselves appropriately so that we keep challenging ourselves!
Thanks, 2016, for teaching us how to be more inventive thinkers, how to be better planners for our clients, and how to better translate inspiration into innovation. 2017, let’s do this!
