Q) Everyone has that “Aha!” moment in their life when they figure out what they really wanted to do as a career. What was the first sign that you were meant for the events and meeting industry?
A) When I got a job working as a banquet server for the VIP areas at the Sam Houston Race Track, I loved seeing events come together and know I wanted to continue in the field. Right after I then based my college decision on the best school for hotel/restaurant management.

Q) How did you learn about Red Velvet Events?
A) From a friend who was an intern for Red Velvet Events 7 years ago.

Q) RVE’s love for Austin is well known. What’s your very favorite thing about Austin?
A) How friendly and welcoming everyone is as well as the food scene, which has endless possibilities to explore.

Q) Nothing’s perfect – not even our beloved city. If money and time were no object, what’s the one thing you would change about Austin?
A) Traffic! If our whole city wasn’t on limestone, I would add an underground shuttle system. This way our landscape remains and the traffic disappears.

Q) Everyone says they’re detailed-oriented. But what secret trait about you really demonstrates your commitment to order and details?
A) I do not have too many organizational quirks, I do have everything in my pantry labeled as well as my closet is color coded.
