Why I Am Open to Trying New Things

I have always been a big proponent of experimenting with job tasks and responsibilities. When Red Velvet Events had a smaller team, we did this a lot more than we do now. I think it’s because we were more used to wearing different hats and pitching in to perform different tasks than we are now.

As the team has grown in size, I have learned that changing tasks quickly can be challenging if it’s not something you do on a regular basis. As a result, I’ve worked on instigating a new program where we “experiment” with different responsibilities for a year. I look forward to seeing how this helps us all perform our respective tasks as well as seeing how it helps us all think better on our feet.

I strongly believe that any company that doesn’t regularly change things up like this can become stale. Experimenting with job responsibilities allows us to test and see if the outcomes are happening as expected. Through this method, we can find out if there are ways to make things more efficient. I look forward to reporting back and seeing how much this new initiative has helped the team.
