Q) Everyone has that “Aha!” moment in their life when they figure out what they really wanted to do as a career. What was the first sign that you were meant for the events and meeting industry?
A) I was working in childcare and was organizing events and fundraisers for our foundation to help children who could not afford to participate in extracurricular activities or who couldn’t afford afterschool care or camps. My fundraisers and events were a hit and were very successful and I loved the many moving parts that went into planning them. Then one day it clicked that I could do this for a living!

Q) How did you learn about Red Velvet Events?
A) I learned about RVE through Stormi Boyd, she found out that I was interested in planning and gave me some information about the company and what RVE was all about. I instantly fell in the love with the company and knew I needed to find a way to work there.

Q) What creatively inspires you?
A) Being in nature inspires me, riding horses and training with them inspires my creativity and positivity, and seeing what others create and their passion for their creation inspires me to create my own unique masterpiece.

Q) RVE’s love for Austin is well-known. What’s your very favorite thing about Austin?
A) My favorite thing about Austin is how diverse it is! There is something for everyone and I absolutely love the Texas Country music scene that is here in Austin and in the surrounding areas. Oh and I cannot forget to mention the amazing foods we have here.

Q) What is the one place you make sure to take out-of-town guests when they visit Austin?
A) I always make sure to take out-of-town guests to Lady Bird Lake. It really shows off how amazing our city is, it shows guests what our culture is all about and it is absolutely gorgeous.

Q) Everyone says they’re detail-oriented. But what secret trait about you really demonstrates your commitment to order and details?
A) In my personal life I have a planner that I fill in everyday so that I know what tasks I need to complete around the house or if I have a social outing I need to attend. At work I usually make lists everyday with prioritized tasks on them so I can mark them off as I complete them. I like making sure that the most important tasks are completed or worked on first before the fun ones.
