Austin’s Gone to the Dogs!

Doggone it, we love Austin – the fantastic weather, the beautiful Hill Country views, the amazing food and the great affection Austinites have for their pets.

Austin strives to be one of the most progressive communities in the country when it comes to pets. Austin Animal Center, our city’s shelter, works hard to adopt out more than 90 percent of the animals that come in; and we’re lucky to have several no-kill animal shelters and pet rescue groups in the area that help connect loving families with awesome adoptable animals.

Austinites love their pets – and they love taking them out and about! The city has a good number of off-leash dog parks. In addition, several local restaurants welcome dogs on their outdoor patios. It’s not unusual to attend someone’s wedding and see a dog stroll down the aisle as a ring-bearer or flower-mutt. But some dogs around here really get to live the high life! One dog, a French bulldog named Elvis, regularly makes the social scene in Austin – he shows up at parties at the W and other high-class events!

Here at Red Velvet Events, we understand how important pets are to our clients. After all, we’re dog owners ourselves! So if you want to plan an event that involves raising money to help Austin’s animals, celebrating the pets in your life, or even welcoming well-behaved and well-dressed dogs as guests, contact Red Velvet Events today. We’ll make sure your event is less rough and more “Ruff!”
