There’s No I In Team — But There Are Two in Teambuilding!

Texas Sized Fun.

One of the many wonderful things about Austin is the wide variety of new and exciting teambuilding activities in the area — especially those with a racing theme, thanks to the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). We’re always adding to our growing roster of cool and interesting experiences you can find only in central Texas, especially for teambuilding purposes.

Here are some fun teambuilding activities we’ve tried recently, or want to try in the near future:

Who doesn’t love a little friendly competition among co-workers – especially when that competition involves racing around in go-karts? This is a great way to get out of the office and have a lot of memorable fun. It’s definitely something that everyone in your office will remember for years – even if they don’t win the race!

Indoor Skydiving.

Not only is indoor skydiving much safer than real skydiving, but it’s also a great metaphor for success – for letting your employees spread their wings and fly! The indoor skydiving company iFLY recently opened a location in northwest Austin, and the Red Velvet Events employees visited and absolutely loved the experience!

Building Bikes for Charity.

This activity brings people together to work on a project while still fostering competition between teams. In addition, it does something positive and gives back to your community! Essentially, the employees are divided into teams and work together to build bicycles that will be given to deserving local children.

Chocolate Tastings.

What a sweet treat for almost any group! A wide variety of teambuilding tasks can be structured around the idea of chocolate tastings. Employees could have a culinary competition and whip up delicious desserts, or they could compete to build sugary structures. Another option: to simply sample chocolates and learn about the confection’s distinctive flavors.

Jewelry Making.

Your employees will work together to learn how to make beautiful pieces of jewelry, such as necklaces or bracelets. They’ll also leave the teambuilding session with their own vibrant creations, which they can wear proudly long after the day is done.

Good Ole’ Western Fun.

Have some Texas-sized fun with a Texas-themed teambuilding activity! From armadillo races to roping cattle (don’t worry; they’re not real) to riding a bucking mechanical bull, there are so many unique and unforgettable Texas-flavored teambuilding projects available to companies.

Red Velvet Events would love to put together an exciting teambuilding activity for your organization! Contact us for more information.
