Members Only: Stay In-The-Know With These Meeting and Event Planning Organizations
Game Changing Organizations
Because our industry is constantly changing, it’s important to stay on top of the latest trends and to network with our colleagues. Over the years, we’ve found some truly fantastic organizations out there devoted to meeting and event planning officials. Here’s our take on what makes each of these organizations great, and why it’s so important to be part of them if you are a serious player in the meetings and events industry:
If you have anything to do with special events, productions or platinum weddings, this is the place to be. In Austin in particular, this is one of the strongest and most diverse group of event coordinators in town. Those of us at Red Velvet Events have made some wonderful international contacts over the past 10 years, and it’s been very humbling to earn 3 different ISES Esprits from this group – which is a true honor, as your peers select you on a blind submission basis.
This is the group you want to be a part of if, like Red Velvet Events, you are a true destination management company. We don’t just sell our company and its skills – we sell Austin as the ideal destination for your group’s meetings and programs, and we’re here to be your eyes and ears on the ground. This group has been an amazing network of like-minded folks and has helped us make the world a smaller place in the best possible way. We know we can refer our fellow ADMEI companies when we have a client traveling to a new city for a program.
This is the group you want to be in if you are a meeting planner, whether it be corporate or with an association. If you’re a meeting planner and you have to juggle many facets – from the hotel contracts to the registration list to working with the AV production team – MPI can help you. The organization has a long-standing history in the meeting and events industry. Red Velvet Events has been proud to receive Meeting Planner of the Year from the local chapter, another award presented by peers.
If you do sales and work with hotels, this is the group for you. This organization will help you understand how to better market your services and how to better relate to both your clients and your hotel partners.
