Social Media: Say It Now, Say It Loud, Say It Right!
Social Media Age…
Social media is crucial to anyone working in the events industry – or to anyone planning an event. It can:
- Let your guests know about any last minute changes,
- Spread the word about your shindig,
- Allow people to post pictures and raves about your fantastic fest,
- And more!
So Many Options
But there are so many social media platforms out there. How can you make sure you’re using the right ones? Here at RVE, we love to use the following:
Red Velvet Events Owner & Event Strategist Cindy Lo is very active on Twitter. Follow her for exciting news and fun tidbits on event planning as well as the latest happenings in Austin.
We use our Facebook page to share news on our business and milestones, as well as updates in the events and meetings industry here in Austin. Our Facebook fans even get to see pictures of our fantastic events, our branding ideas, and even our office’s magnetic cow statue, Maggie Moo!
Our YouTube channel features videos of the décor and setup from some of our most prestigious events and meetings. Check it out and see how fantastic we can make your next event look!
While Facebook is great for timely information and photo sharing, LinkedIn is a simple, polished networking directory. We use LinkedIn to stay on top of who’s coming and going at different local companies, to see how all of our event partners and friends are connected to one another, and even to refer our friends to other business partners we know and trust.
